The Somfy Eolis retracts your awning to help protect it from damaging wind. The SOLIRIS will extend and retract the awning as needed with the sun and wind.
SOMFY's electric motors and controls are UL approved by the Underwriters Laboratory. The motors are fully contained within the roller tube of a retractable awning for a clean, concealed installation that blends right into the lines of your home. And they're sealed, too, so they require no maintenance for years of trouble-free service. The manufacturer warrants them for 5 years
In addition, you may choose between a hardwire motor, or plug in controls that plugs into an existing outlet. The SOMFY RTS (RADIO) motor features an integrated radio receiver that allows you to operate the awning by remote. With the plug-in cord, you can eliminate the electrician and plug the motor into an exterior “GFI” outlet. With the remote, the awning will extend or retract automatically. With a HARDWIRE motor, you will have an electrician install a switch inside on the wall. With a simple flick of a switch on the wall, the awning will extend or retract automatically

SUNAIR ® uses a number of different motor sizes and ranges. Generally the motors can be classified in two categories, manual override, and standard. The manual override motor type (MO) has a crank mechanism that enables you to retract the awning by hand in case of a power failure.
