SUNAIR® offers only the best solar protection fabrics from Mermet and Ferrari that also maintain a view out of the window when the shade is lowered. Not all solar mesh fabric can claim both exceptional solar protection and view.

Mermet fabric is a woven fiberglass that is coated before it is woven. This manufacturing technique assures a smooth consistent weave with exceptional view and solar protection.

Ferrari Soltis fabric is a woven polyester that is woven and then coated. It offers ideal structural strength and economy.

Darker vs. lighter mesh colors:

Because darker colors absorbs light, darker colors like Bronze, Black, and Charcoal will allow better visibility through the closed fabric screen to the outside. This is important if you desire to have a nice view of the exterior through the screen fabric when it is extended. Darker colors also offer better solar protection than lighter colors.

Lighter colors are more neutral on the house, but will offer less solar protection and reflect more light. Lighter colors are therefore harder to see through when the screen is lowered. Light colors are ideal for rooms where you want to maintain a uniform amount of light in the entire room, like an office etc.

You may also use Acrylic fabric like Para on your screen. Please refer to the acrylic fabric collection
